A High School Subject Teacher is responsible for teaching a specific subject to secondary-level students, helping them build strong academic foundations, critical thinking skills, and exam readiness. The role focuses on effective lesson delivery, student assessment, and overall academic development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned subjects (Mathematics, Science, English, Social Studies, etc.) as per the curriculum.
- Plan and deliver structured lessons aligned with academic standards and learning objectives.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, and examinations.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, projects, and exams.
- Provide academic guidance and additional support to students who need improvement.
- Maintain student records, attendance, and academic reports.
- Manage classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
- Participate in school activities, training programs, and staff meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the relevant subject.
- B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred).
- Strong subject knowledge and effective teaching skills.
- Good communication, classroom management, and mentoring abilities.
- Basic computer skills for teaching aids and documentation.
Experience:
- Fresher or 2–5 years of teaching experience at high school level (preferred).
