A Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a store to ensure efficient functioning, excellent customer service, and achievement of sales and operational targets. The role involves staff management, inventory control, merchandising, and overall store performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day store operations and ensure smooth workflow.
- Supervise, train, and motivate store staff to achieve sales and service goals.
- Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer complaints or escalations.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, and prevent stock loss or damage.
- Plan and implement visual merchandising and promotional activities.
- Maintain store hygiene, safety, and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare daily sales reports, stock reports, and performance summaries.
- Coordinate with suppliers and head office for stock replenishment.
- Control operational costs and improve store profitability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Retail Management, Business, or related field (preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and sales processes.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS or inventory software.
- Customer-focused attitude with problem-solving abilities.
Experience:
- 2–6 years of experience in retail or store management roles (preferred).
