A Delivery Associate is responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods, parcels, or food items to customers. The role focuses on efficient route management, customer satisfaction, and proper handling of products during pickup and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick up orders from the store, warehouse, or restaurant and deliver them to customers on time.
- Ensure accurate delivery by verifying order details and customer addresses.
- Handle packages carefully to prevent damage during transit.
- Collect payments or verify online payment confirmations if required.
- Maintain professional behavior and provide courteous service to customers.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules efficiently.
- Report delivery status, delays, or issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain basic records of deliveries and collections.
- Follow traffic rules, safety guidelines, and company policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic education qualification.
- Valid two-wheeler driving license (or appropriate vehicle license).
- Knowledge of local routes and areas.
- Ability to use smartphones, navigation apps, and delivery apps.
- Physically fit and willing to work flexible hours.
Experience:
- Fresher or 1–3 years of experience in delivery or logistics roles (preferred).
