Rice Mill Manager

A Rice Mill Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete operations of a rice milling facility, ensuring efficient production, quality control, equipment maintenance, and workforce management. The role focuses on maximizing productivity while maintaining safety standards and delivering high-quality rice products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the rice mill, including paddy procurement, milling, polishing, grading, and packaging.
• Plan and monitor production schedules to meet quality and quantity targets.
• Supervise mill staff, machine operators, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and discipline.
• Ensure proper maintenance and timely repair of milling machinery and equipment.
• Monitor raw material usage, minimize wastage, and control production costs.
• Implement quality control measures to meet market and regulatory standards.
• Maintain inventory records of paddy, rice, by-products, and finished goods.
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and sales teams for smooth operations.
• Prepare production reports, performance summaries, and cost analysis for management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Agriculture, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in rice mill or agro-processing operations.
• Strong knowledge of rice milling processes and machinery.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Basic computer knowledge for record-keeping and reporting.
• Ability to handle operational challenges and make quick decisions.

Experience:

• 3–7 years of experience in rice mill operations or similar agro-based industries.
